Parents or guardians can file claims on behalf of minor dependents who were younger than 18 years old as of May 5, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much can class members receive?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ordinary out-of-pocket losses and lost time:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to $500 per person for documented out-of-pocket losses and lost time related to the data incident. This includes unreimbursed costs such as:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Credit reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Credit freeze fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Card replacement fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Late or over-limit fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interest on payday loans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bank or credit card fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Postage, mileage and other incidental expenses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Costs associated with credit monitoring or identity theft protection purchased primarily as a result of the data incident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Compensation for lost time spent monitoring accounts, reversing fraudulent charges or otherwise responding to the incident at $20 per hour for up to four hours (minimum one hour required)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Extraordinary expenses:<\/strong>\u00a0Up to $2,000 per person for documented, unreimbursed monetary losses not covered by the $500 ordinary loss reimbursement. To qualify, the loss must:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be an actual, documented and unreimbursed monetary loss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be more likely than not caused by the data incident<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have occurred between Oct. 25, 2022, and Jan. 13, 2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have been subject to reasonable efforts to avoid or recover the loss, including using available credit monitoring or identity theft insurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Credit monitoring and identity theft protection:<\/strong>\u00a0All class members can enroll in one year of free credit monitoring and identity theft protection from CyEx, which includes one-bureau credit monitoring and alerts. This benefit is available even if class members do not claim monetary compensation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Minors\u2019 alternative cash payment:<\/strong>\u00a0If the class member was younger than age 18 as of May 5, 2025, a parent or guardian may elect to receive a $40 cash payment instead of other benefits provided they do not file any other claim for that dependent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to claim a data breach payout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Class members can file the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdusddatasettlement.com\/form\/claim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online claim form<\/a>&nbsp;or mail a completed&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sdusddatasettlement.com\/documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PDF claim form<\/a>&nbsp;to the settlement administrator.
